In Sting’s outstanding career, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has won 17 GRAMMY Awards® and sold 100 million albums worldwide, both as one of the world’s most distinctive solo artists and as the former frontman of The Police. As a composer, singer-songwriter, actor, author, and activist, Sting has also received a Golden Globe, four Academy Award nominations, a Tony Award nomination, Billboard magazine’s Century Award, and the Kennedy Center Honors. Sting’s support for human rights organizations such as the Rainforest Fund, Amnesty International, and Live Aid reflects the universal reach of his art. Together with his wife, Trudie Styler, Sting founded the Rainforest Fund in 1989 to protect both the world’s rainforests and the indigenous peoples who live there.
