The buzz in the Bulgarian heavy metal hive and the rumors about a possible new visit of Judas Priest in our country are confirmed. The heavy metal giants are coming for a concert in the Arena Sofia hall (ex Arena Armeets), on July 19, 2024 as part of the “Invincible Shield” tour on the occasion of their new album and at the invitation of the Fest Team. This summer, Sofia becomes part of the band’s world tour, which has already started in the UK and Ireland and continues in Europe and the US.
Few artists have managed to rise to the heights of Judas Priest during their nearly 50-year career. Their presence on the music scene remains high, as evidenced by: the millions of fans around the world and in our country, their latest album “Firepower” from 2018, the highest ranked of their career, the Grammy Award won in 2010 for “Most -good metal performance,” the well-deserved award from the VH1 Rock Honors and their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022.
Judas Priest have had an illustrious career spanning nearly five decades and continue to demonstrate their enduring presence and influence in the music industry. From groundbreaking albums like ‘Sin After Sin’ and ‘British Steel’ to the triumph of ‘Firepower’, Judas Priest left an indelible mark on the genre. What’s more, their distinctive leather-and-studded suit aesthetic is a historical fashion trend that is primarily responsible for the band’s frontman and Birmingham icon, Rob Halford.
Deservedly inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, Judas Priest continue to break musical barriers. Throughout the last year, the band has been focusing on their new studio album, which was released a few days ago. Invincible Shield, the nineteenth album for the band, contains 14 predictably good tracks that are already on the playlist of any self-respecting rock fan.

Tickets for the concert of the metal lords Judas Priest go on sale on Friday, March 15, on the network. The Facebook event is here.

For fans of rock and metal music in Bulgaria, 2024 is shaping up to be one of the richest and most diverse for many years.
